MS-Word Command: Insert Menu and Format Menu

Insert Menu:

1. Insert Page Break:

Breaks the page below the cursor and shift the text/data on it on the successive page.
-Select the cursor at the place.
-Select the insert menu.
-Select break.
-Select OK at the end of the confirm.

2. Page Numbering:

Used to insert page numbers in the pages of the current file.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select page numbering.
-Select the desired alignment and position.
-Select OK at the end of confirm.

3. Auto Text:

By using this command to insert made text in require documents.
-Place the cursor in desire side of documents.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select auto text command.[Then appear a list of option]
-Select required option[closing salutation/signature header and footer][Then appear ready-made text]
-Select required any one according to your documents.

4. Insert Symbol:

Insert the symbol from different fonts at the cursor position.
-Set the cursor at the place where the symbol is to insert.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select symbol and click on it.[Then appear symbol dialog box]
-Click on symbol option tab.
-Select required fonts from fonts box.
-Search the desired symbol and select it.
-Select insert.
-Click on close.

5. Insert Picture:

This command is used to insert desire picture from clip art working directory where are more different useful picture.
- Click on Insert menu.
-Click on picture.
-Select clip art and click on it.[Then appear clip art task pane bar]
-Click on search option tab.[Then appear picture content box]
-Click on desire picture.

6. Word Art:

Word art command is used to insert text style with in different word art command.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select picture.
-Select word art and click on it.[Then appear word gallery box with different word art style box]
-Select desire one.
-Click on OK.[Then appear edit word art text box]
-Specify required font and type desire text.
-Click on OK.

7. Diagram:

Diagram command is used to insert diagram in document.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select diagram and click on it.[Then appear diagram box]
-Select required on diagram box.
-Click on OK.

8. Text Box:

Text box command is used to insert box where you can insert separate desire text. It is also insert text box for create such as cars ID,visiting card in fix measurement.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select text box and click on it.[Then appear plus sign in mouse pointer]
-Dragging your mouse pointer until end of confirm.

9. File:

File command is used to insert related file in source file.
-Place cursor where is used to place required file.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select file and click on it.[Then appear insert file dialog box]
-Select required file.
-Click on insert.

10. Hyperlink (Ctrl+K):

Hyperlink command is used to insert required file name in source file page. It works to like networking.
-Click on insert menu.
-Select Hyperlink and click on it.[Then appear hyperlink dialog box]
-Specify required working directory.
-Select required file.
-Click on OK.

Format Menu:


1. Font:

By using this command to format font,font style,font size as well as font color, in selected text. It is also help to format superscript and sub script text in required text.
-Select the required text.
-Click on format menu.
-Select font and click on it.[Then appear font dialog box]
-Choose required anyone font[Times New Roman/Preeti/Arial] from font box.
-Choose required font style[Bold/Italic/Underline/Normal].
-Choose font size and font color.
-Click on OK.

2. Superscript (Ctrl+Shift++):

It is used to format superscript place in text. For example: a^2+2ab+b^2/10th/32degree etc.
-Position your cursor in required place of text.
-Click on format menu.
-Select font and click on it.[Then appear font dialog box]
-Tick mark in superscript command.
-Click on OK.

3. Subscript (Ctrl++):

It is used to format subscript place in text. for example: H2O/2nd,etc.
-Position your cursor in required place of text.
-Click on format menu.
-Select font and click on it.[Then appear font dialog box]
-Tick mark in subscript command.
Click on OK.

4. Text Animation:

To format text animation in selected text.
-Select the text.
-Click on format menu.
-Select font and click on it.[Then appear font dialog box]
-Click on text animation option tab.
-Select desired text animation options.
-Click on OK.

5. Paragraph:

Paragraph command is used to format alignment. Indentation and line spacing in selected documents.
-Click on format menu.
-Select paragraph and click on it.[Then appear paragraph dialog box]
-Choose required aligns[Left,Right,Center,Justify] from alignment text.
-Format text indentation number.
-Choose line spacing options.[Single,Double lines,etc.]
-Click on OK.

6. Bullet and Numbering:

To format bullet and numbering in selected text line.
-Click on format menu.
-Select bullet and numbering and click on it.[Then appear bullet and numbering dialog box]
-Click on bullet/number option tab.
-Click on OK.

7. Customize Bullet/Symbol:

To format additional bullet/symbol in required document text.
-Click on format menu.
-Select bullet and numbering and click on it.[Then appear bullet and numbering dialog box]
-Select the desire bullet box.
-Click on customize.
-Click on font/bullet.
-Select required fonts from font box.
-Select required bullet/symbol.
-Click on OK.
-Click on OK.

8. Border and Shading:

By using this command to format document page border as well as border and shading in required pages.
-Click on format menu.
-Select border and shading and click on it.[Then appear border and shading dialog box]
-Click on page border option tab.
-Select desire page border from art box.
-Click on options.
-Select text options from measure.
-Click on OK.
-Click on OK.

9. Columns:

Column command is used to apply for desire your document page in required number of columns.
-Select required document pages.
-Click on format menu.
-Select columns and click on it.[Then appear columns box with columns preview box]
-Select required one or insert columns number.
-Click on OK.

10. Drop Caps:

To capitalized first character of sentence of document.Generally it is used in newspapaer.
-Select first character of sentence.
-Click on format menu.
-Select drop caps and click on it.[Then appear drop caps dialog box with preview box]
-Select desire drop caps box.
-Click on OK.

11. Case Change:

This command is applied for format required text case or to change case of selected text.
-Select the required text line.
-Click on format menu.
-Select case change and click on it..[Then appear case change option box]
-Select required above any one option.
-Click on OK.
